Where ice meets fire
Iceland

Iceland is a land torn between ice and fire. Volcanic activities, coming from the oceanic rift which run under her, rule everywhere in Iceland and the land carries the signs of this incalculable power (geysers, sulphur areas, lava fields). The glaciers’ heart takes form inland, even though the ice often reaches the sea, where enormous blue-green icebergs are born. Adrift in the lagoons that separate them from the sea, they can take thousands of years to melt completely. This land reminds us of what happened on our planet at the beginning of its existence, long before the appearance of humans and other forms of life. In those ancestral sceneries a proud community lives in harmony with land. They achieve to stand up from a severe financial crisis without missing their deep nature.
